Isaiah 40:1-112 Peter 3:8-15a • Mark 1:1-8
We are the Bee. The makers of the Bee hive. Is the all in one kitchen, living room, bedroom, sanctuary a place for all.
The honeybee is a highly sophisticated insect that has evolved over millions of years. The earliest recorded Bee was found in Myanmar. It was found encased in amber and has been dated as 100 million years old. ….
A place for all to find comfort, a place of for all people.
A place to find God’s grace, forgiveness, omnipotence, love and hope amidst disaster. A place in the days of uncertainty where they and we experience exile and homing. We find cities, desolate without inhabitants then and now. There is emptiness in the land. A voice cries, the message is comfort, promise redemption for all community.
The voices cries, prepare the way. We are waiting, hasten for the return, the Great Expectations for here and now.
See “I am sending a messenger”, to meet the siege, the anxious peace, the fear and good news. See here comes messiah, John’s call to repent, to awaken the ear, to listen in longing, to linger, to witness, Jesus grew up, the gift to anticipate, here and now and always.
We are not alone, thanks be to God.
