Isaiah 52:13-53:12Hebrews 10:16-25 •John 19:14-28
We are the Well.
The water at the well is the place of gathering, In Israel, in Turkey, in Saskatchewan, in Ontario, in Toronto.
Jesus met people at the well.
Jesus was wounded at the well. Jesus was servant who sang the song, at Jerusalem, Golgotha, the cross. Jesus met the well of suffering. He carried our suffering. Jesus carries our tears, our hope, the persecuted. Jesus carries forbearance, in the face on injustice he meets authority. Jesus grips our heart to follow.
Jesus meets people at the well, “ I will write the law in their minds”. Jesus is then and now, in crucifixion, renewing hope. Jesus then and now is easter life to come, gathering in love for others.
Jess met people at the well, carrying the cross, crucified, mercy, redeemed, suffering and redeemed.
Jesus meets people at the well. Here is your mother, here is your son and daughter, we are child of God.
We are family.
We are comforting, world. While the world hurls the worst.
Jesus says “I am thirsty”
Jesus meets people at the well, resilience, horror,
assurance, strength, confronts evil, the fruits of the spirit, bitter sweet.
