We are the bow, the sign in the sky, the promise of new hope.
The bow is seen in the clouds, remnant of the flood, chaos, to renewal.
The bow is the word, “I will establish my covenant with you!”
The bow is legacy, for descendants, the bow is the law, the boundary between life and death.
The bow is the remembering.
The bow is God waiting patiently in the days of Noah.
Waiting for community, salvation, ark of hope, suffering and persevering.
The bow is the new heavens torn apart. The bow is the moment of temptation, liminal space, thrust into society to confront norms. The bow is rite of passage, holding and on, letting go.
The bow is spirit, that immediately drove Jesus out into the wilderness.
In the wilderness we meet the message, flesh and bones, kingdom, to repent, hear the sound and smell. The wilderness is the event of listen, learning, saying YES.
