We are the Flame. The flame that is ignited by Pride memories. The Pride memory, June 1992,
carrying the United Church Rainbow Cross with Bob Martyn, proclaiming pride faith are one.
I am what I am. In Genesis the God of the ancestors proclaims I am, what I am.
Go the Land of Moriah, take a risk in the land of vision and the place of appearance.
Abraham goes to land, to sacrifice Isaac. Abraham’s faith tested with wood and fire..
The binding of Isaac, Abraham’s call, sacrifice Isaac, testing, child sacrifice, obedience, faith
Abraham disturbed by God, challenge the promise. Abraham change of events, Isaac is spared. You are have been set free.
Abraham called today we hear, justified, sanctified, God’s declaration of living grace.
Welcome a prophet, listen to power, compassionate welcome.
Give a cup of cold water. Role of the host, cast themselves upon trust. Practise hospitality, live benevolence, show people what the word can mean, stretch the limits of imagination, fresh, faithful ways of seeing.
