Sunday Counters Needed
We need 2 volunteers every Sunday to count Sunday morning offerings which is done after the church service. The process takes about 30 minutes and includes counting the money and preparing the CIBC deposit documents, and then depositing it at CIBC branch at Bayview and Glazebrook Ave (on the west side of Bayview, north of Eglinton). The months for counting are: Jan, Feb, Mar, May, July, Sept, Oct, and Nov.
You do not have to commit for a month, or even 2 Sundays, just whatever works for you. If you're interested, please contact Don Reynolds at (416) 231-5647 or email the office at manorroaduc@gmail.com

The Mod's Book Squad
Brew a cup of tea or pour a glass of your favourite drink, and snuggle in with a good book. Oh, and you can discuss the book with at least two friends—the Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, Moderator of The United Church of Canada, and her guest—in one of Canada’s biggest book clubs.
Starting Sept. 21, 2023, and ending in June 2025, these (mostly) monthly book club sessions will feature fiction, non-fiction and poetry written by (mostly) Canadian authors. More information here.

Forget Me Project Art Exhibition
Award-winning visual artist, Suendrini (Suen) Goonesekera’s body of work, entitled Artful Waste, has been featured in the series, Artistry Of God at Eglinton St. George United Church this past Spring. Now, two years in the making, Suen and sponsor the Peace With Justice group of ESG welcomes you to experience the Forget Me Project art exhibition.
The Forget Me Project was created in an effort to acknowledge and process, from the settler’s perspective, an awful time in Canadian history: Indian Residential Schools. This collaborative and multigenerational art initiative consists of 215 individual fabric hearts, each representing the life taken of an indigenous child who did not return from the Kamloops Indian residential school they were forced to attend.

Go Project
Curriculum for children and youth
Moses and Aaron also had a sister named Miriam. Miriam helped Moses stay alive in a time when babies were being harmed. She convinced the Pharoah’s daughter to adopt Moses so that he would stay safe amongst the political unrest and violence towards the Israelites. Now, many years later, in this part of the story, Moses has led the Israelites to freedom and to celebrate, Miriam dances and celebrates with song and timbrels!
Wondering
I wonder how Miriam felt while keeping Moses safe?
I wonder if you like to dance?
I wonder why Miriam helped Moses?
I wonder how you like to celebrate important things
