In these days of summer, we come to the Spring. A few years ago I went the spring of the Saguenay River for French immersion in Jonquierre. I went to the river of language.
Today we go to the river of God’s love in the tale of the steward, and the tale of Rebekah, providence appears, rhetoric and power. In the spring of the text we are standing here.
We wade into language as an instrument of power. We confront anxieties, meet success, join the miracle, recover a sense of agency
.Paul recovers his sense agency, the law is good. Paul confronts anguished wrestling, the well-worn grooves, understand actions. God delivers from burdens, we keep the law, shout out loud.
Come to me all that are weary.
I surrender all, invitation to discipleship and relationship with God. God is real
