We are the voice. The moment that is more than words. The people who speak,
Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris and Amanda Gorman.
“There is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see, if only we’re brave enough to be it!. “
The light in the text, ‘Hear the Voice of the Lord!”.
Hear about the death of Moses. Hear the voice of prophet. Hear about the face to face time with God. Hear about liberation, listen to the mediator. Witness the mountain fire, speak to Israel and us today, the people afraid of fire.
Hear about the prophet rising, the one who is called, the one who is the moral, ethical agent. The one who summons the people to covenant. The one who summons the people to participate, in hope, in promise, in revelation, in encounter by action of justice and mercy.
Hear that we are known by God, in the knowledge of learning the taboos, of society and culture.
Hear that we possess knowledge to God, as companion, as messiah, as deliverer, as prophet and friend.
Hear the call to be silent, to command the demon to be gone. Hear the call to be fishers, to invite, to notice the great ones and the small ones. Her the call in the fear away and near at hand to the kingdoms of this world. Hear the call in the synagogue, the house of worship, for the leper, the paralytic, the publican.
Hear the call to teach with authority. Hear the call to be the medicine, the magic, the miracle of the living Christ. Hear the call to speak, the Jesus speak, with power, “You are a child of God”. God with us now. So above, so below, so behind, so before, so to the left, so the right, and so in the past and the days of tomorrow and shout out loud in the gift of Today! We are not alone.
