The energy at Manor Road United this year is palpable and with it comes new programming that reaches out to the wider community. Friday mornings are a perfect opportunity for those who may, or may not, regularly attend church and who are searching for connections to spirit and community.
At 9:20 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. the Faith Based Book Study Group gathers for a spiritual journey using Scriptures and Brian McLaren’s new book: “We Make The Road By Walking” exploring through reading, reflection, conversation, and prayer. Invite your friends to join you as the group considers together what an honest, living, growing faith can mean for our lives and for our world. New participants are welcome to join the group at any time.
Then at 10:30 a.m. the Wisdom Exchange gathers as an inter-generational group sharing life’s wisdom. There are those with the desire to learn how to knit or crochet, and there are those who already know the joy of creating with wool. All are invited to join the group to knit/crochet prayer shawls.
After learning and growing together the natural next step is sharing a meal together so at 11:30 a.m. all are welcome to share in a potluck lunch. Members, friends, neighbours—in other words, ALL are welcome to join the group at any time, for any part of the morning’s activities.
Come and be filled with spirit, knowledge, great food and fellowship. To find out more:
