Dear Friends in Faith,
This week I found my way back to Manor Road! It is good to be back. In addition to some wonderful holiday time with family and friends, I enjoyed a spiritually rich and nourishing week at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico. There I attended a week long conference on Celtic and Native Spirituality. What a stunning landscape in which to contemplate and experience the Spirit of God in and through creation and one another! I came home with some new songs, lovely prayers, and fresh perspectives to share with you as we come together in worship again.
For the next four weeks, I will be sharing with you some of the inspiring songs, prayers and reflections I so enjoyed during my time there, and will be reflecting on the counter-cultural wisdom of the Beatitudes: Blessed are you when….
I would also love to have an opportunity to meet and spend some time in conversation with you. If you have time and inclination, give me a call, a text, or an e-mail and let’s get together over a coffee, an ice-tea, or for a walk. I would love to hear what is on your hearts and minds these days.
If you are in town, I hope to see you on Sunday! If you are away, I hope you are having a wonderful time and that you too will return refreshed and ready for all that the coming season will bring. Yes… fall approaches!!
Finally, I want to thank those who took on the challenge of sharing their faith with the congregation through leading worship in my absence. To James Roth, Joan Bigley, Michelle Bennett, and Susan Johnson, a big thank you!
Peace and Joy!
