Since time immemorial, indigenous peoples have occupied and cared for this land. Manor Road United Church is on the traditional home of the Huron-Wendat Nation, Metis Nation of Ontario, Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and Six Nations of the Grand River. We seek to rebuild right relations with First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, to learn from them, and to live on this land with respect and gratitude for its bounty. May we be connected to the heartbeat of the Spirit as one. Seek the hand of the Creator, find the voice of the maker.

Vaccination Policy at Manor Road United Church

Following guidelines set out by the Government of Ontario, effective November 17, 2021, Manor Road United Church will require proof of two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (a printed or digital copy) to attend any in-person services or events. This policy applies to all eligible adults and children. Unvaccinated children are welcome until they are able to be vaccinated. Please speak to Rev JJ if you have a medical exemption or would prefer to show him your proof of vaccination.

The vaccine passport and vaccine appointment booking are both available from Ontario Health:  https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca. Please be ready to show your proof of vaccination this Sunday. You need only show it once until such time as the guidelines change.

This policy is in addition to guidelines already in place at MRUC including:

  • Wearing a mask
  • Social distancing
  • Staying home if you have any COVID symptoms, have had contact with a known COVID case, or are waiting for the results of a COVID test
